Arrow weight?
« on: September 09, 2008, 01:09:00 AM »
5/16 cedar 135gr Zwickey= 484gr. 11/32 cedar 135gr Zwickey= 484gr.They both shoot great from my 50lb longbow.5/16 shoot a little better.I am going to hunt deer and hogs. What do you think. I wish they were 500gr but I have shot them in and I hate to change this late. It realy don't matter how heavy they are if you miss.

In my opinion, the arrow weight is fine and since the 5/16 shoot a little better, go with the 5/16.

No problem on deer, hopefully the hogs will be OK too. Same weight? I second the 5/16.

That's plenty.  Use the one that flys the best.

If the 5/16s fly well I would use those.Skinny is always better for hunting if you can use them.jmo
....Quality deer management means shooting them before they get tough....

Thanks! I ask because I have dropped some bow weight this tear and my arrows have always been over 500gr.
Opener is Sept 27 I'm READY.
