bear td supreme bear shooters
« on: September 17, 2008, 10:01:00 PM »
hi i am thinking of buying the bear td supreme
and a extra set of the new longer 3#lims that will make the bow a 64" i draw 29 and i was thinking getting  one set of limbs at 50# and one at 55# or maybe even 60#
wich limbs should i get in the heavier 55# 0r 60# the shorter 60" or will it stack at my 29" draw ? i pulled an older bear tk 60" and it stacked really bad at my draw it was a 60 pounder ,and no it was not my muscles stacking i have bows that are much heavier that do not stack  , also last quiestion do you think they will make the supreme in 2009 or is it only a 2008 edition ? iff they are still going to make it in 2009 i will wait untill my finances are better .
thx very much  in advance for any sugestions
ps sorry for bad spelling i live in australia but originaly from sweden

B riser #1 limbs make a  60" bow and pound for pound will shoot faster than the longer #3 limbs.
I have shot the Bear TD's quite a bit and the only time I had an issue with stack was with a set of green tip #2B (Same as #1) on the short riser. At 29" they hit a wall and went off the charts.
My present setup is a set of 61# #1's on a B riser and get no stack out to 30"

The TD Supreme is an excellent bow!  My draw is a full 30".  The bow doesn't start to stack until after that, but at only 60" I start to feel the finger pinch.
If you're going to be buying extra limbs, I'd highly recommend getting the #2 limbs from RiversEdge Recurves.  They're less expensive than new Bear limbs and pound for pound much faster.
