11/32 field point ?

I want to go to 160gr points on my 5/16 cedar shafts. The only way I can do it is use 11/32 points. They seem to fit ok. Anybody ever do this? My 11/32 broadheads work great why not field points.

I have done that many times.......... make sure you do a good job gluing on the points.

Sure, they work fine. You will have a slight shoulder behind the head, but it's pretty minimal, and shouldn't cause problems. As stated above, be careful with your tapers for a good fit.

It works just fine with broadheads, but field points will hang up when being pulled from most targets. Bob at Ace Archery made me some brass 160 gr 5/16 field points. If there was enuf demand, I think he would make a regular run of them.
