Stone Knife;  Is there a letter in front of that serial number? Should be either a R, RW, or RA. Are the decals gold or white in color?

Hersh;  Head Ski vintage bows are from 1968-70. Your decals are white in color and serial number starts with an RA, correct?

Kelly,
The decals are gold and there is an RW in front of the 1010.

Your bow is an original Wing Archery bow and those decals should say Houston, Texas on it. It also has chocolate brown glass and a bubinga(reddish color) handle probably made in 1965. These early Red Wing Hunters are outstanding shooters. This model doesn't say AMO 58" on it, correct? If so, then it actually is a tad bit shorter than an AMO 58 Red Wing Hunter, which were produced in later years. What I'm getting at is the 54" string will work better on this bow. Brace height should be 8" and 12 strand flemish is plenty.

Kelly it just says 58" there is no Huston Texas on the decals, It does have brown glass with bubinga riser and has some white on the tips.

I was looking through some back issues of traditional bowhunter mag that a friend gave me, dec/jan 2006 issue. I found a article about wing archery and there bows . According to this my bow would have been built prior to 1965 because the decal is a sticker and not silk screened on. and is not a head ski or AMF.
