Hunting around Antlers, OK
« on: September 24, 2008, 06:28:00 AM »
WOW am I ever blessed. My mother-in-laws employer who has 6,000 acres around Antlers, Ok. just told her I could hunt on his property whenever I want. I cannot wait to get home and visit him and check out my new hunting grounds. Maybe make meat with my new Blacktail.

Anyone hunt around there who can tell me what it is like?

That area is loaded with deer.  I try to hunt it atleast a couple of days every season.  One of my bowfishing buddies has lives there and has maybe 100acres to his name and everytime I go out, I see anywhere from 15-50 deer.  That is per sitting I might add.  Turkeys like you wouldn't believe and nice folks around that area too.  Good luck and take pics.

Have you noticed that the times you don't get nothing while hunting, are usually the most fun you've ever had.
