SHREW BOWS...GONE HUNTING
« on: September 24, 2008, 11:28:00 AM »
In case anyone tries to call or email me after 9-25 I'll be gone hunting.

Redbird and I are headed for Shrew Haven for a week. I drew a bear tag and my season starts on the 26th. Archery deer season starts on Oct 1st so we'll be doing some deer hunting also for a few days.

If anyone has any questions about Shrew bows while I'm gone contact #2 man Gregg, (Javaman)...    :campfire:

Ron

I hope you have a great time and are as successful in your hunt as Ray was in his. If anyone deserves success it is someone like you who "works" so hard at it -- if you want to call it "work"! Be safe, have fun and give us a good report when you get home.

Take care,

Ron,
Take some good pics for us while you are away so you can share with us when you get back. Mason and I enjoy your pics and stories. Don't let, " Smokey Bear", get too close to Redbird !

Are you going to hunt out of a canoe any while you are on Armstrong Creek this year ? Hope you and Redbird have a good time, we are thinking of you two !

Good luck and great Hunting Ron!

Hey buddy, good luck.  We got my bear skinned last night and quartered at my taxidermists..  There was only 1 inch of fat on that bear, so I hope yours has more.  I froze it for you.  The bear weighed 225 dressed and should be right around 18" on skull measurement. He's a good mature boar and will make a beautiful rug (squared 5 1/2 feet).  We be cheering  for you and Nancy. I hope she gets that big 10 point.      ;)        :D

Thank you all for the well wishes, it's greatly appreciated.

I just got some new hunting arrows from my arrow guy Paul Jalon especially for this hunt. Paul and I have been talking about this new line of arrows for awhile now. They will also be offered on my web site. They are named in honor of my wife Nancy who I affectionately call Redbird. She has been my bow hunting partner for 50 years.    :archer:
