does anybody know anything about paul bunyan bows this is circa 1960ish and is a paul bunyan 300 and is 40# it is all fiberglass, and can be shot either left or right handed

Never owned one but in my time around archery they've popped up quite often on places like **** and classifieds.  Remind me of the old Ben Pearson jet bows but the Paul Bunyan bows came in adult hunting weights not just kid weights.  My experience with solid glass bows hasn't been very impressive.  They often seem sluggish and heavy to me.  On the auction sites, they run 20 to 50 bucks.

Dave got it right. Paul Bunyons were solid glass bows-at least all the ones I've seen- and were pretty popular in their day. They were economical and tough but like Dave said, I've never seen a solid glass bow that could perform in the same class as a quality laminated bow. I have an old archery book at home and the author , a fellow named Edmund Burke, endorsed and used these bows. If you would like to review the book, let me know and I'll send it to you.  Grant

Yeah boy do I , I have one here in the store we use as an example of hand shock ! When people ask " what is hand shock? I let them shoot this bow , no better example alive.
The one I have is solid fiberglass 4" of serious reflex and big plastic horn style tips.
It hurts to even think of shooting it.

We got a big guy out this way who seems to break every trad bow he touches. We let him shoot this one, and now he doesn't ask us anymore.

One of my earliest memories of shooting a bow happened on a summer vacation with my parents in Minnesota.

The resort where we were staying had two bows and they were both Paul Bunyon fiberglass bows.
They were more than good enough to set the hook in a young man with a vivid imagination and dreams of Robin Hood.
