Binoculars for sure.

I had to go back for my arrows once!     :)

I wouldn't go into the woods without a knife. Since I always have at least my Kershaw Scallion with me, I would not go back if I forgot my hunting knife but to me, going back for A knife would be worth it. In a survival situation it is the best one thing to have in my opinion. Good luck finding that sharp rock and building a shelter with it when it is freezing under two feet of snow and getting dark fast! Yes, it can be done-but I'LL go back for a knife.

I could get by without alot of things, I've field dressed deer with Zwickey broadheads on more than one occasion.  I wouldnt go hunting without a grunt tube and a diaphram turkey call.

I am surprised by some of the answers...you mean you cannot make it 2-4 without a drink, chew or a knife? Seriously?
Who knows it won't end up being alot longer, accidents do happen.

Respect for mother nature and the animals I hunt.  When I lose it, or forget it then I should go back home.

Honestly, there is nothing I would turn around for assuming bow, wallet (tag, license, and credit card) and proper clothing were with me.

My goal in life has become not to get more, but to learn how to need less.
Have you or anyone else here actually gutted a deer with a rock, I know it can be done but seriously? haha

In my opinion some of these answers are about being comfortable. Water/dip/snickers,,,ect are all about making a day in the woods more enjoyable.

I should have added a "reserve" can of Red Seal in my pack... You can never run out sitting in a blowdown...LOL

The only thing I would head back home or to the car for is a pack of Lucky's.

If it's more than a day trip, I'd have to say an alarm clock.

What is a can of red seal? Never heard  of that one.
I normally don't go into the woods without my Modern Calls hands free gunt call if I'm whitetail hunting. I've seen it work way too many times. I also won't be found without my small puffer bottle of corn starch to detect the wind direction.
