When you mesure for brace hight were on the bow do you mesure to?  From string to shelf or grip or low part of grip....

Bill, I don't think it really matters as long as you measure it in the same place every time.

I measure mine to the deepest part of the grip.

Wm.  unless you are comparing it to someone else's measurement, it really doesn't matter as long as you do it the same each time.  That said, I BELIEVE the typical way is to the deepest part of the grip.

Thanks everyone.  I have a 60" Morrison Cougar and the BH is supposed to be 6 and 5/8ths to 7 and 1/4.  Right now if I measure to the shelf it is 7 and 1/4.  I am thinking that the sting is twisted way to short and that I should let it out and start at the 6 and 5/8th at the deepest part of the grip and tune it up.

Yep, that would make it too high that way.  The spec recommended is to the deepest part of the grip.

As said deppest part of the grip is the standard, Bill shoot whatever brace height the bow performs best, the recomended height is a good starting point.
shoot straight shoot often
