OK, now I'm ready.
« on: October 03, 2008, 02:30:00 PM »
I finally got all my gear ready:

A hickory selfbow with a hemp string copied after the Sudbury bow, but with the addition of a leather handle and a small wedge of wood covered in buckskin for an arrow rest.

Some unadorned arrows with Wensel Woodsmans

A quiver made from some PVC pipe and a few odds and ends I had laying around.

I can't *WAIT*.

/Dad made the bow, I put on the handle and made everything else.

Thanks guys!

I'd already have been out (somehow) if I had a good place in the Northern Zone of NY to hunt.

I normally hunt in the Southern zone.

Any NY hunters have a line on a decent area in the Glens Falls, Lake George, Saratoga region?

By the way, my son has been getting ready too:

He still has a few years to practice, though.
