What a great hunt! I really enjoyed how you used some of the old ways in your hunt. Fire from flint and steel, a good smokepole to make meat, providing your meals from the wilderness. I like to do this also. Makes me want to call in sick, grab my gear and head to the big woods for a few days. Thanks for sharing.

Well done mate! I love the idea of the flint, striker and the tin. Way cool.... where would one get one of those...?

man was that AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i think that would be a blast to pack up and take to the woods with a tent and my bow. the only thing that would have made that story better is if you had pics roasting fresh backstrap over the open fire... thats what im talkin bout!!!
man im getting fired up just thinkin bout that!!!

I am truely glad to have shared this experience with all of you and thanks for the many kind words.
The coyote will make a great hat, and of course there's nothing like fresh backstraps!!!
Good hunting adventures to you all........Todd
