Don't talk to the wife. She may say NO. Order it and about a month before it comes in take her out for a special dinner for no reason. Drop it on her then that you have a new bow on the way. Works every time. Now when I ask her if she would like to go for a steak and lobster dinner she ask what I ordered. LOL

All you shrew owners should help the economy out and put some used shrews up for sale since it sounds like you all have one or two to spare.  Then you would have money to spend, or you would get to order new shrews for yourselves.  Then the rest of us would get a crack at a shrew for a discount and not have to wait a year!  What do you guys think?  Sounds like an economic bail out to me!

Elksong is getting a very nice 56" SS in the mail from me as I write this. It is 56" 59@28".... They are here for sale if you look for them........Just got to act fast as they never last very long

Just got my new RH Shrew Classic hunter in Shadow grey two days ago........awwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeesome.

She's 56" 58# @ 28" - 2 piece - still shooting in the string, but I am getting better with it everyday. I have a couple of questions though.

I am shooting a few different wood arrows (all left hand helical (very closely spined...very close), but one set are the Sitkas (they have some big feathers and helical on them) and some I got from Kustom King (left helical, but not so heavy a helical) and the feathers aren't as big.

Question: The shrew has a shelf rest that is one piece and the arrows from Kuston king shoot without any bump on the shelf and riser, but the sitkas seem to bump more and don't fly as good (close but not as true).

Now I have an ACS 3 piece that is 54# at 28" and I put on my own rug on the shelf and there is a small space between the shelf and the part on the riser (leaves a space for the feather to go through) and they shoot out it great.

Any help on this would be handy. This is my first kick at using wood arrows. In the past I could always turn the nocks to help clear the feathers on the rest. Now I love the woods so I just need some help here ok.

Ron is way tooo busy so I don't want to bother him with this

Yup like Andy said Cock Feather in might help.  It wont affect the flight of the arrow it just gives you a little more clearence on your feathers.

Just out of curiosity are the two sets of arrows spined the same?

Yes they are spined the same supposidly, but I don't have a spine tester.
