i agree, whatever works.

my older boy used to shoot. he almost gave it up because he couldn't hit anywhere close to a target. i had him change from split finger to 3 under and he starting hitting things. needless to say he began shooting more.

it's more fun to hit what your aiming at!

Joe, I shot righthanded for 40+ years, last year I switched to lefthanded due to right shoulder is shot. I started closing my dominant right eye. After about 8 months of shooting lefthanded I am now able to leave both eyes open. I have always been right eye dominant but somehow they are both about equal at this point. I guess you can teach an old guy new tricks.

I'd bet he is Left eye Dom....
While he is still young have try left handed, He will have btter deoth perception with both eyes open....
I'm right handed like he is butt left eye dom. I taugh myself to shoot with both eyes open, Now I can see a lot better....

I killed my first two trad deer shooting that way. I shot three under and pointed with the arrow. I have since gone split finger and point with my eyeballs. Cool pics!!!
Just one more step please!

He probably needs to shoot left handed.  He will be better off in the long run.  Good luck....Van

I shoot with one eye closed too.  Fortunately, it seems to work despite conventional wisdom!

Hey at least he has one open. I've seen guys close both when they release! He's hitting so good on him.
