I got to watch two squirrels chase eachother all afternoon. The small one was beating up the big one....and by big I mean...if I didnt know it was a squirrel I woulda thought it was one of Shawn's rabbits!
Never saw a deer until I pulled into the driveway, large doe and smallish spike were helping themselves to my apples.
Jim...you are on fire! Congrats!

Way to go Jim! gonna try to make it 4 in bow season this year?

I've been busy trying to finish up the tile in the kitchen and cutting up a 300# pig this week so the wife will let me hunt. That and showing BobW where all the deer are.... Maybe this weekend.

Nice going guys!  Still no hunting for me and it's KILLING ME!!!!

Jim, I think if you shoot instinctive and you pick a spot on the neck, you will automatically allow for a lead to hit that spot. Just a thought....CONGRATS!!

Now get that boy of yours in front of one...good luck

Jamie, we had a fair crop on the red oaks  this year but they fell pretty early, the beechnuts are still falling and so is hickory these are the areas I'm keying on and seeing deer.
Curt your right on with your analogy of my shooting, I wont try that again, I'm going to look for a flock of turkeys to get Joe a shot opportunity, their kinda scarce around here the past few seasons. Thanks guy's for all your kind words if it wasn't for Trad Gang none of this would be happening, I learned so much from here in the past couple years that otherwise may have taken a decade to learn.

Good job up there boys!!  Things should really start to pick up in a week or so. Have fun before the orange stump sitters show up.  Joe

Good Luck Jim ,
Adam shot a bear on monday night and we have been tracking on and off since. I had deer search guys in today but no luck , looks like this bear will live and might get another shot at it later. Its been a stressfull couple days trying to track this bear , starting with monday night around 11 pm . We got to the point we didn't know who was tracking who , marked the spot and backed out . We went back in in the am and tracked for five hours to no end . Lost the blood and couldn't pick it up again . Deer search guys in today with the bear dog and covered the field , did I mention large standing corn field. Well general consensus is live bear and still going. Hope to get another chance to get it done right.  Drew

I'll be headin' back to the Catskills in the morning. The weather this weekend should be good for still hunting and stalking. Might be a bit better for the ducks. I'm happy for Ed and Jim. Kinda gives me the (push) to get back out there.

Drew that would be kind of stressful, if you can't find it after all that chances are it will make it. Mike hope you connect this weekend, Joe and I are rooting for you.

Going to a new spot in madison co. in the AM, hope to see something since I have not even seen a deer yet. Have gone out 6 times and so far things look a little bleak! Glad to see others are doing well.
