Drew, it's a wonder there is any game left in your neck of the woods, we'll have to start calling you the exterminator   :bigsmyl:

I had a (wonderful) story but I'll spare you from the details. Did plan to hunt this weekend but..... As someone else said, "Life Happens". Some of you are very lucky and live close to your hunting area. This city boy has to travel 125 miles one way to be in "my" deer woods.

So... Go Get 'Em Guys! I'll be with you in spirit.

Thanks guys
Jim , I could say the same for you :0)
Mikey : You only travel 5 miles but as slow as you go it seems like 125 , keep after them you will get em :0)  Drew
Its Jim's move

Have not posted in a day or two. I have had a change of heart and I let some deer walk. My surgery is not until Nov. 20th. so I have time. Last night I sat a little creek bottom  right on the edge of the creek , this forms a great funnel. I had a small buck come out and pass at 10 yards. It was in the thick so I decided to pass an iffy shot. 5 minutes later he walks right by at 15 ft. and since I let him go once I let him go again. I also had a doe and fawn walk by as well and passed them too!! It is starting to heat up and I am seeing some scrapes and I saw two bucks pissin on their hocks already. I have the first two weeks of Nov. off and damon the whole 2nd. week off also, we should have some stories to tell for sure!!  Oh, as a side note the new property I have to hunt is loaded with deer and a kid I am teaching to hunt sat it last night. I told him where to sit and to do a little soft calling, he ended up seeing 26 deer and missed a nice buck at 15 yards(compound). He admitted this morning he was shaking so bad he could not draw the bow at first. We sat the property the other night and  I saw 9 different deer and Damon saw 6. We will be back there Sunday afternoon. Good Luck all! Shawn

They moved late for me tonight, I had a doe blowing as I was putting away my blind. I'm going in the morning , then later Joe and I are going to look for some turkeys.

It's Saturday morning and it's raining...RATS!!! I've been up since 4:45 waiting for it to stop. Oh well, I'll walk around and scout a little later but I don't think I'll hunt in the rain for fear of hitting one and having the blood trail wash away. Hope everyone else can get out. Rob

Rain and higher winds here too - good day for chores - and to think about shooting just over the biggest doe I've ever had a crack at yesterday!

It's officially pouring here in Triangle. My daughter is having a boy over to the house for the first time today so I'll just hang out and intimidate him I guess. So much fun so little time. Hey Ken, try hunting on the ground when it's windy, just watch out for falling limbs. Rob
