Mark, I have and it helped me put a nice edge on them. I did however take down the angle with a file first. I'm sharoening challanged so I'm not the best judge, however I can take the hair off my arm with a few strokes. Good luck!

Havent used that sharpener so i cant say. But i just use a bastard file and a stone and strop and it's scary freakish sharp. I've gotten it down to 10 minutes per head. My .02

I use a belt sander to get the basic edge angel, then buffed the edge. Mine are polished and sharp as heck!
