I'm used to shooting a 250 carbon express at about 520gr, 31" long, including the 145gr field tip, but that's up around 57lbs...
I have two lower poundage bows now, and that's just too stiff of a setup for them.
One comes out to 49@30" and the other will be right around 51@30, and I want to shoot 9gpp, or about 450gr with a 31" shaft.
Problem is, it's hard to find a carbon shaft to spine where I want with a "regular" field point/broadhead (from 125 to 150grains)...and that would put the shaft somewhere around 8.5 to 8.9 grains per inch...with a deflection roughly around .420, maybe more...
So what's out there? Carbon Express 150's? Anything else? I'm really not up for paying $90/dozen for CE's, even though I really like their product...but am not ruling anything out totally based on pricing yet...
I do not like super-front-weighted carbons or 100gr inserts...it just does not give me the trajectory I want...
And sponsors--feel free to send me a PM if you are so inclined...
Thanks for the input all!
