I believe this whole-heartedly.  I wouldn't dip it for it's beauty, regardless of its monetary value.

Now, some snakeskins wouldn't be out of the question...or even some "ghillie" style material if you were really paranoid and needed some extra confidence for turkeys or predators.

i need to input my two cents into this question...if you dip a wood bow how are you gonna know if bow starts to develop a problem ?it may look cool and all but what happens if ya pull er back and get popped in the forehead as your bow falls in half? even if you see the problem devoloping through camo dip then yer stuck with it having to be removed repaired then re-camo time (another 100 bucks) looks good but in my opinion not worth the possible trouble it may bring....my opinion  :campfire:

I wear camo every day. Get sick of looking at it sometimes. I don't like the camo dipping! But, too each his own.

Nope.

We have camo dipped several Widows, they sell as fast or faster than ones in original condition.
This refers to MAs, SAs, SAGS, SBS, LAGs, we have never done an exotic, hope we never do.
In my opinion it does not hurt re-sale value.
All of my personal bows are dipped.

It is up to you. I would have one done but only if it was starting to show haevy signs of use. I think Sipsey river does a great job and if ya want it doen for whatever raeson go for it. I know the Camo A&H bows are going for a $150 more than their exotics bows. Shawn

I'll bet there has been a lot of game taken with shiny bows.

Sipsey River does and awesome job!  I have a Black Widow TFB meaning it was all black paint when we bought it.  Tom read some threads on here a couple years ago and decided to suprise me by removing the black paint and letting the wood show.  Well...he did surprise me...I think he was even surprised that the bow was all fiberglass except for the handle.  Then he tried to repaint it.  The paint aligatored and became the ugliest Widow!  Well this year I sent the bow to Sipsey River and  had Lonnie dip it.  The bow is beautiful again...and looks rather stunning!

Nope too pretty!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways-BOW in one hand-ARROWS in the other-Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming-WOO HOO! WHAT A RIDE!
