Another Thermocell twist

I read a story about a guy reusing old dryed out thermocell pads by putting his favorite scent on it, and heating that up in his thermocell. anyone tried that?

He went on to say that he would put the things in his grill (the one in his back yard, not the one in his mouth, for those of you with teen agers!) with the flames on low to insure ALL of the bug repellant was out, before using for scent.

I thought they already manufactured scent pads for them, so a home made version should work too.
I find the older I get, the less I used to know!

that is funny stuff.  I got to think those bug reppelent fumes are bad for you.  But I guess so is spray on bug repellent and getting diseases from misquitos.

A buddy of mine put a few drops of mosquitoe repellent on a used pad and re-used it and it worked.
