I read Barrys embarassing numbers and thougth I'd share my "real life" numbers..... hunting central LP of Michigan.  Since Oct 1, 6 hunts, average 2 and a half hours on stand, have seen 7 does and one 3 point buck!  To many small land plots around here.....
Jon, I think I need to move up on their adoption list (at least in front of you) for 2 reasons- number 1- I'm still hunting for my first trad buck, trying to break the 100 inch mark- so I've been passing little guys for loooong time.  Number 2- LOOK AT YOUR PICTURE! You have got it done in the past- and hunt Illinois- not MI......

Slow, ya wanna hear sloooow..   I've been out for over 30 hours since the season opened on the 18th and have only seen 1 doe. Now thats slooooow!

You really know how to cheer us up.  Have put in about 25 hours on stand so far and seen 3 bucks, two does and two unidentified deer.

SWP you have the same problem that I have...
Those boys live where the deer live.

They don't play golf, go bowling or spend time at football games. They scout deer instead.

Sorry guys. I've gotta clarify the fact that in October and December I'm usually hunting a lot of food sources and some field edges where I can see deer at longer ranges. Now is about when I move in deeper and quantities go way down and quality goes (hopefully) way up. bw

You want to talk numbers? Last week, I had over 150 deer in my super secret alfalfa field. Of course they were all big Montana Mulies...You know mulies...The more grown up and cooler version of whitetails!

Sorry Biggie, Barry and Mike...I had to get my Mule Deer dig in!

barry/gene im a new trad bow hunter . i put the compound away.my wife purchased masters of the bare bow for me last xmasi loved it.i would like to see a video going in depth on trad bow tuning and equiptment.

I have to go along with Gene and Barry on things starting out slow this year. I live about 20 miles from these two guys, am semi-retired and have clocked in about 52 hours so far in the woods. I've seen 37 Bucks (4 over 150) and not a one would give me a shot. 88 does/antlerless (which I did take one of them so far) and 6 different Bobcats. The largest male seems to enjoy my company from a distance, I see him quite often and call him Bruno as he seems to enjoy chasing anything that gets in his way except me. Some of you guys may think thats a lot of Deer but for me that is sort of slow around here. Just had to throw in my 2 cents worth.

Of course I don't have a whitetail spot to hunt and I never draw an Iowa tag...But, Maybe next season...

Uncle B...I love mulies. OK, maybe not the lil' doe fawns...but those big ol muley bucks are worth loving.

Hey, Tyler Carlson has invited me up to the Flathead to chase whitetails on his place. He has a pretty good spot...so I'm told. Hmmm...I might actually save my A-tag for a whitetail this year...first time I've done that in many moons!!

But, of course if a 150" whitetail was standing beside a 150" muley...I'd shoot the muley...because they are way cooler...and mostly becuase I never get shots at 150" whitetails!
