Joe and upatree are from southern states and probably hunt private ground leases, I know the one Joe and I are in is 4 miles of quagmire mud to get to where you can hunt. no joy ridin as joe said and ya stay on the trails.I have no problem at all with this, But in the northern part of our state it is National Forest (public land) that can be hiked into.  and is over run with ATV'S as it is out west in Co. and such. there they are a severe problem. And I wont hardly hunt as I love to do anymore, that is to backpack or hike in. Unless you are in a wilderness area, and even then sometimes, you WILL have atv's in the area..

I'm a dissabled police officer and i use my ATV to get me within a 100 or 200yds from where i hunt.

I mostly use it on my own land, without it i wouldn't be able to enjoy my hunts as much.
