The new door and deck on the back of the cabin that was put on a couple months ago. It faces Armstrong creek and will a great place to sit on those nice days.

Yep...that's what it is...one of the best darn wood  stoves ever made.   :readit:   I've had it for about 30 years, it used to be in my house. It's been in the cabin for the last nine years and has been tested in temperatures of -20* during some late December hunts. It will probably be there warming my great grandkids    :campfire: ....unless Obama outlaws wood burning stoves..

Been there!! Ron had me there a couple years ago on a trip I won.
Had a wonderful time. Shrew haven was named that weekend.

Oooops....I forgot about the wood. Ron works hard to give me simple tasks, so I don't have to touch power tools, etc. Ron, before I forget, where did you hide the sledgehammer? I'm going to need it opening that east gate....  :knothead:

Good luck looking forward to this years pictures of the hunt.

A picture from last year, relaxing after a hard day of hunting Left to right, Greg Nicolaou our licensed Chef, Tim Cosgrove, from Kustom King and Gregg Coffey, Shrew Master Bowyer.

You can see the reflection of the gas lights in the windows.

The new railing on the front porch and the new campfire pit.

Also the new shutters on the windows. These things plus the back door and deck were added during the work bee this summer.

Man, I could live very comfortably in that Place. But Im in the same position as Gene, always find deer and elk droppings in the yard, cougar and bear minutes away, I live in hunting heaven...PR

I sat in a tree this morning near the house, not seeing any deer because of this damned 20 mph wind. It worked out though, I had 3 1/2 hours to plan where I will be sitting NEXT Sunday morning at ShrewHaven. Weather report last night said our camp area was to get 4 inches of snow. That would be PERFECT!   :bigsmyl:

4 inches of SNOW??        :scared:    I was planing on sleeping on the ground by the fire rolled up in my brain tanned buffalo robe    :campfire: .... Hmmmm, maybe I'd better rethink that plan

Ron, are you going to make it into an actual robe, or just  leave it as is?
