Anyone use the Fall Guy?

Looking to buy one for my son to use, he is a new tree stand hunter and want to keep him safe from ground to stand. Let me hear your thoughts good or bad.
Thanks

Terry,
I have a brand new one, never used it. Still in the package. They are $84.95 in Cabelas. I will ship it to you for $75 if you want it.

I haven't used one, but I think a 30' piece of tree rope w/ a prussic hitch would be a lot cheaper.

Your right VTer, but the retractor is hands free as you climb. It automatically retracts as you go up. With a rope and prussic hitch you gotta keep forcing the prussic knot up the rope.

I have one and LIKE it. The only thing is I think it could have a little more spring to it. BILL

I used one this year for the first time.
My wheelie-bow buddy told me about them. I like the way they work, and they do retract on your way up the tree. I will continue to use the Fall Guy for my treestand hunting. Good product.

My buddy has one and found the retractor to be very weak. Check the reviews at Cabelas.com.
