I'm pretty biased since Larry is my partner and friend.  But I think the Abowyer heads are excellent.  This year all I've shot with mine was the wolverine in Alaska.  The quality of construction is immediately evident when you look at how sturdy they are.

Thanks John, I am thinking about of the 1 1/2 in wide heads.  Seems like that would be the ticket on whitetails.

The Whitetail needs a complete (and time consuming) re-shape of the edge angle to work with the KME BH sharpener (you should use the Knife model).  Good steel, takes a wicked edge.  I am concerned as to the very broad chisel tip.... seems Dr. Ashby may have something to say on this in the near future based on the most recent writings in TBJ.

Please do not take this a complaints as I do like these heads.  Just some things to deal with.

Still need to see how it does on flesh as I have only managed to drive one into a tree - but it had great penetration...  :knothead:  ...

Can't find a bad word to say about any of Larry's heads.

Pictures are one thing but as soon as you get one in your hands the first impression is, Holy smokes, this is an anti-tank head! Very super duty, well made, and pretty near huntin sharp right out of the pack. Hard to find a better built broadhead than the Abowyers.

Oh yea, one other thing, $40 for 3 of these is a bargain!

I have the whitetail version of these heads and have been waiting to rain down the thunder on something.  Its just not happening late in the season for me.  Everythings pretty much nocturnal over here.  I got a couple more chances and I'm giving it all I got.
