harvesting vinemaple

hey folks ive got access to some choice vine maple and im thinking about harversting some. Im not really sure how to store it for seasoning, should i leave the bark on or off? what about sealing the endes to prevent checking? any tips are appreciated

Seal the ends and leave the bark on
