Ian, I haven't had a chance to hunt much.

Made the LTB hunt at Clear Creek WMA in Oct., one of the new members and new trad. hunter missed a shot from the ground.

I was supposed to go this weekend to Tensas, but my grandson got sick and has to fly him to New Orleans Childrens Hospital. Looks like he will be OK . . .

Hopefully will make the LTB hunt at Loggy Bayou WMA this coming weekend. Then a hunt at Tensas just before Thanksgiving . . .

If you haven't checked us out, look at the LTB website:  www.traditionalbowmen.org

Haven't seen a deer yet but I've only hunted a few times.   Hoping that changes this weekend at the Loggy Bayou LTB hunt.

My neighbor and his son have killed five so far on their lease near Plain Dealing so I know at least some folks are having success.

Nothing yet.  Made 3 weekend trips to the lease with no luck.

Buddy missed 2 does with a compound 25,20 yards this weekend at the camp.  He is having "bow issues".   :help:     I out shot him at 20 yards with my recurve   :archer:   !  Just goes to show you that no matter how fast or hi-tech your bow is, it has to be tunned propperly and the operator has a big part in shooting.

Made a couple of hunts and haven"t seen anything off the stand yet.  Will be making the Loggy Bayou LTB hunt this weekend, maybe thing will be heating up a little.
For sure the food and fellowship will be worth the trip.

I havenot seen much this season, and I have been in the woods a few times. It is so dry you cannot see any tracks, unless you are at the waters edge. The mast crop is also very poor,I think because of the drough we are in.
