Lowering my bow and quiver too early one morning. Looked up and a spike was watching them spin around at the bottom of my tree.

I once did a honey pot for bears, kicked it in a shooting lane and then climbed back into my stand until dark.  I never thought that I may have gotten some honey on my boot, or that a bear's sense of smell was so very good. Went home, the next day I came back and thebear was standing in my tree stand licking he foot rest! Too small to shoot, but I have always regretted kicking that pot.

I shot a spike one year, and less than 10 seconds later two 8 pointers walked by. I just sat in there with my only tag just spoken for.  :banghead:

Michael...I had the name Cottonwood for a long time on *********** and then someone else started using it...Guess it was you but no problem...I told them to change my Cottonwood handle on *********** so we didn't get our opinions mixed up. I chose Cottonwood because it was in a small hollow in Colorado named Cottonwood Point where I shot my 1st bow killed elk.
I'll tell those in charge of Tradgang that I want to  change my handle here too so you can have Cottonwood on both. That's what I originally had but I have no problems switching. Have a great day!!!  ex-Cottonwood
