Probably since the rut is getting underway I would go right back in there.  You'll get other bucks moving thru searching for does.

I feel your pain, although mine was a nice four pointer. Missed saturday and relive it atleast 100 times a day. Awesome stuff. Good luck next time.

The fun is in the getting there, it justifies the end

On opening day, I took a shot at a doe and missed.  The doe looked around for a second after hearing the arrow hit a rock (and snap the head of, btw), but I froze and didn't take a second shot.  She eventually went on her merry way, apparently unconcerned.

I did that because I have an excellent spot at a funnel, and I didn't want to possibly spook the doe.

I missed due to my own stupidity and impatience, by the way:  I started creeping from my spot, and 5 minutes later the doe came through.  I had moved far enough that my distance judgment was off.

I "Munsoned" last week on a 8 pointer too,LOL! I thought he was going to duck, but he jumped up instead when I shot.
Just one more step please!

Thats ok, I shot my friends brand new chronograph one time...from like 5 ft away... the good news is it didn't suffer, a finer kill shot I have not seen. I still catch Hell for that and It was 10 yrs ago. Just one of those moments we all as trad guys and gals have.
