Disaster in Ohio!
« on: November 07, 2008, 04:04:00 PM »
I just got a call from GrnMtnTradNut. He and his friend did a 12 hour drive last night to get to Pomeroy Ohio to meet up with his Dad and Uncle to hunt. Well as some of you know Chris has been having one great first year, three deer already with the Zipper he got from me. The bow was forcefully retired a little while ago. It got run over by the truck some how and both limbs are shattered!

His sister is on the way to my house to pick-up one of my Habus to overnight to him to save the the hunt. Hopefully his arrows will work with it.

Cross your fingers for him!

This makes the back-up bow thread real pertinent I'd say!

Got to have a back up!  Those run away trucks will get them every time.

Can I be your friend? Well for that matter, can I be Chris's friend?

I'm doing something wrong.  I don't have a Habu or three deer.

David, Where in Ohio is he hunting? If he's somewhere close to me I can get a bow to him tomorrow. I also have JD Lund from Whisperstik Bows in camp until Tue. and he has several bows with him. I'm sure between us we can get him in the woods again. I'm working midnight but I'll be heading to the camp in the morning. I'll PM you my cell and give me a call if I can help. I'm in Harrison County, close to Piedmont Lake.

Whew!!

I know the bow is important, but I'm glad they themselves are ok. Bows, though not always easily replaced,  can  be replaced.

I have been out doing the youth day thing with a couple of local boys with military parents so just saw these posts. I left a message on Chris' cell to see if the bow I sent arrived or not.

I also let him know about all the offers of help. You folks are tops.

Bow didn't arrive and won't be there until Monday because of where they are. He is using a Herters they had in camp.
