Deer From Tree or Ground Poll

I am wondering how many deer taken this season will be from a tree or from the ground. Thanks for participating.

My biggest bucks to date have been taken from the ground.

Well last year I was 50 - 50 on ground/tree on taking a deer. So far this Year only 1 deer down and that was from a tree stand.

I hunt mostly from a tree. Its definately easier but not always possible.

I've been in a tree stand .... once.   I was about twelve feet up, wearing full camo, camo sleeve on the bow, standing still, with virtually no breeze.  Just after first light, a  nice buck walked up the trail towards me, stopped at about forty yards, looked directly at me, put his tail up, and trotted off into the woods.  Last time I was in a tree!!

I hunt almost exclusively from the ground.  It's more fun.  This year I have yet to arrow a deer but I haven't been out but 6 times.  Came close 3 times but a good shot never presented itself.

Yesterday I had a doe at 15 yards stop 5 feet from a shooting lane, turn around and walk away.  Don't think I got busted, just bad luck.

Got my deer from a tree this year, but got a turkey by spot and stalk. Still have a doe tag that I will fill from the ground or not at all.

I enjoy hunting on the ground but understand why the majority of bow hunters prefer a tree stand. We are all in one way or another using the predator methods and instincts of nature.

Ground hunters - Cougar, Wolf, Coyote, Bobcat

Tree Stand hunters - Eagle, Hawk, Owl, Osprey

I'm interested in the numbers. Already I'm surprised that there were that many taken from the ground.

I like hunting from the ground, in natural blinds mostly, But see way more deer from the tree....

Way too thick to hunt from the ground where we hunt. Couldn't see a thing until it was on top of you. Tree's for me.
