That is some hugh ugly pig, not sure I would have shot it. I would have probably been in the tops of those trees in the background. And in the tippy tops like a scared squirrel. Looks like some kind of pig from H_ LL. And mean to!      :scared:  Great job Caleb I'll rest easier knowing he is dead. Know I only have to worry about running into his brother in the DARK!

The apple don't fall too far from the tree. If you want the family story, check out the Dangerous Game, California Boars thread. Brent, you won't be sleeping much when you see just how many  of those big uglies are out there   :scared:    :scared:

Way to go Caleb!

We spotted him at about 200 yards feeding next to some brush, we then moved in on him to about 15 yards, but he kinda saw me, he slowly started to move away, so I paralleled him.

At 20 yards he was slightly below me and quartering away, I drew my 50lb custom made Axis bow, made by Dave Weaver out of Hawaii.

I shoot with a 2117 and an eskimo broad head, I put it right behind the shoulder and through the heart, I only got about 9 inches of penetration, he ran about 30 yards and started to spin around and went down.

When we got up to him he was all scared and torn up from fighting, he had recently been in a big battle because there was a wound on his shoulder that had maggots in it.
Thanks everyone, I appreciate it. Caleb
