Need some help picking the right spine woodie
« on: November 12, 2008, 01:11:00 PM »
for a ladies bow.
Recurve 25#-30# at 25"
I've been liking Douglas Fir lately, they come straight, take stain nicely and seem pretty durable so far.

These will be strictly for target and 3D,she doesn't hunt.

Get me in the ballpark for a 5/16" arrow cut 26" BOP with a 125 grain point.

TIA
Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.

Go to Rose city archery, scroll down til you find amo spine deflection chart.  Its for ceder, but should work for your fir shafts too.  Swabby

Is that chart with a 125 grain head? It doesn't say.
