Happy birthday Howard. Anyone notice that other noted bowhunter leaning against the post in his tee shirt and shorts in the above picture. Hardly recognized him without his "Longhunter" shirt. Thanks for sharing Ron.  :archer:

Sweet gesture. Happy birthday howard.

Regardless of what might have been acceptable cinema at the time, the point is he inspired many people of the possibilities of adventure with a longbow.

I would say that saying negative things about a dead man on his birthday is kinda uncalled for.

Happy Birthday Mr. Hill

I met a guy today that shot with him after state fair demonstration. really enjoyable to talk to.

A belated Happy Birthday to Mr Hill.
He is still inspiring kids, my 7 year old daughter loves to watch the Errol Flynn version of Robin Hood and our dvd has the extras with Howard Hill shooting on it.

2 things.

1) I know we probably shouldn't talk about it at TradGang but was anyone else amazed at the Pygmy net hunt on his africa DVD? For primitive people that is so much smarter than hunting. You can keep the meat fresh.

2) Ron you are one of my heroes but I gotta say I couldn't help notice in that old picture with the green shirt and red shorts you look like santa went joggin.

Howard was born 60 years to the day before I was, I like that   :bigsmyl:

So let's see, we got Howard, trapperdave, stone knife, vermonster13, and myself, all born on November 13th. That's a lot of Valentine babies.   :bigsmyl:
