it would seem to me if they want to promote youth hunting then it would be logical to put them in with the general gun season. They will be hunting with (responsible) adults hopefully.

I think you need to have a seperate bow season period.

What they should be doing is PROMOTING through (AWARENESS and TRAINING SESSIONS) a youth hunting MODEL.

Signed #433....Look folks, we need your help here...all bowhunters and all bowhunters in TEXAS needs to read and sign this!!! There is plenty of room for more YOUTH only season. The season in Texas needs extending in all county's for a good 30 days!! We have lots of deer..mostly due to good managemet of what we have. Bowhunting in October is there for a reason, the Rut or the Chase period has not started..bowhunting in Oct is hard. Set in your stand in 80-90* heat. I only BOWHUNT, haven't used a firearm for wildlife of any type since 1980!  I still shoot most of my deer in NOV-DEC.
