I have shot two of them and I also own a Black Widow PSAIII and they shoot and feel very similar. A great bow for the money.

Jeff,

If you are a lefty, I know where there is a SWEET Tulipwood one.

I think Predators shoot like Super Kodiaks and Bighorns...just a lot faster.

I was a Widow Addict for years. For the money I don't think you can find a bow that shoots better than a Predator. This one is Goncalo Alves (Tigerwood) with Zebrawood limbs.

I build a lot of bows, but not recurves. I have shot a lot of recurves, and although I miss my 56" Morrison most of all I sure liked the way the Predator shot. I may get a Cabelas one too (I have lots of cabelas bucks to use) and then send it to Sipsey River for a camo job after minor grip alterations, as some of them are kind of big.

I have a Super Classic also. It is #003 of 28 made. 51@28 and 60". Beautiful bow. Shoots and feels as good as it looks. Ron is very knowledgable and a good man to talk with as with many other of the bowyers. Here is his website.  www.huntersniche.com.  You can see many of his different configurations there.

I have four of them and the grip is alot like the Asbel Widow grip. Narrow throat and a large palm swell. Arrow sits very low on the hand, I have a big callus on my index finger from shooting them alot. The grip takes some getting used to but they shoot where you look. I've had to dig quills out of my finger more than once, when I'm shooting alot I'll wrap a bandaid around my index finger on my bow hand. Because of this they are the most accurate bow I've ever shot. The grip does take some getting used to. You either love it or hate it.

Danny, I just picked up a Super Classic from a fellow TradGanger, #11 of 28. Smooth fast and quiet with the "boo" limbs.

I have the Kingwood Custom and love it! It's almost to pretty to hunt with ( almost).  Looking forward to getting another one with the black and white ebony riser.

Yellow dog. I just added a made to match Thunderhorn Sidewinder Small Fry quiver to mine. They did a great job matching the bow. It screws into the sidemount inserts. Now I want to change my limb bolt quivers over to sidemounts. I never seem to get it right the first time. Or maybe 2nd or third. If I was better at posting pics on here I would do that. Also put a set of matching antler limbolts on it from Shell.

Danny, I'm about an hour from Ron's shop in Tawas. The last couple I picked up from him I drove up there and dug thru his handles until I found something that felt "right". It's amazing how much a slight diffence in the grip can make in the feel of a bow.

Mike,
That would be nice livng that close to a bowyer and experiencing the feel of the different grips as you decribe. I am not aware of any bowyers that close to me. I am getting close to retirement age and I have thought it would be nice to help a bowyer in his shop building a bow. Thought it might be a far trade my labor for his teaching.
