georgia hog hunting

Hello Trad Gang members,
I was kicking around the idea of a hog hunt in Georgia. I want to do a DIY hunt on public land with no guides or outfitters. Anybody that has any information with the best counties that offer a fair number of hogs and public ground most likely in January or February. I appreciate your help.

Go to Horsecreek WMA, Chickasawhatchee WMA or Altamaha WMA. You can find pigs without a guide fairly easy depending on the time of year and how long you have to hunt.

There might actually be a TBG hunt going on the first of January on Chickasawhatchee WMA for Hogs. Go to the Traditional Bowhunters of Georgia section here on TG and check it out for dates.

Ft. Stewart will be good too - as will all the places Lewis listed above. If you have time and the willingness to walk then you can find some pigs.
