It's about time for another white elephant, maybe after the first of the year?

A "white elephant" is a gift that someone gives you that was given to them as a gift.

Same thing as "re-gifting".

I'm new here and think it's an hilarious and great idea for forum like this!!

I would like to get in on this as well.  Might be a good chance to empty out the shed!!!!  Does it have to be archery related.  I make some nice fly boxes filled with my hand tied flies.

About cleaning out the shed or the fly box?  I make them out of oak with hidden magnet closure.  I wood burn a dry fly on the outside.  I usually put about 15 flies inside.  2/3 nymphs and 1/3 dries.  You would have to let me know the patterns you want.  If your interested email me and I could send you a photo and what I usually get for them.

Flatsboat - hook size 3/0???  That is a gaff in this country.  I usually tie size 12 down to size 20.

Question on the white elephant:

Can we do services also?  I have a bunch of "stuff" lying around like the next guy, but I highly doubt it would be useful to anyone else. Don't want to ruin the surprise though.  One would be hunting related...and something I'm finding most hunters could use. The other is just a general thing that people could use for anything, but certainly hunting.  Both would require trust and shipping.  I'd pick up the shipping tab on both ends.

I do the fly thing as well, but I guarantee nobody wants those, especially if they go after picky trout!!!

I have some stuff to be re-gifted   :)

Maybe this White elephant trade would be better off starting up after the Christmas rush, though?

A lot of folks are pretty busy right now, what with holiday preparations, traveling, etc.
