Arrow help please
« on: December 02, 2008, 08:31:00 PM »
I shoot a Bear Montana at 50# @ 28 inches with a 28 inch draw.  I just purchased some Easton 2016 Legacy arrows.  I wanted to use 100 grain inserts plus 160 grain tips. The inserts I bought go in loosely.  I bought 5/16ths inserts. The 2016 is 5/16ths outside diameter. What inserts can I get that will fit snugly and give me some weight for a higher FOC. Thanks

Greg,
I also shoot 2016s and 2018s, I haven't found any brass inserts that will fit either.
3-Rivers has aluminum inserts with screw in steel weights that will work.
The weights screw into the back of the insert and come in various weights.
Hope this helps.

Greg,
It is called the PDP weight system, page 31 of the current catalog or do a search of their website.
I also use steel broadhead adapters to get the weight up front.
