« on: December 07, 2008, 05:58:00 AM »
O.K....

It would be impossoble to miss the repeated acts of "giving" that this "Dave" exibits here..

I've only been here for about a month though..

SSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....

I've missed out on how this started out on such a regular basis.

If you/someone could catch me up to speed here it would be appreciated..

.............. Who/Where/Why/How..............

Kind of a strange request, but... Put yourself in this new guy's shoes here..........

I just gotta know....  :notworthy:    :notworthy:

Thanks, Toot

This place is full of extremely generous people.  Dave has certainly taken that attitude to a new level.  I guess I don't know how it all evolved, but he's been at it for years and helped a lot of people in the process.

I Believe he has brought together lots of people here who donate things for him to give away to get Children started in this sport. That is my understanding.

That's just what he does now that his cheerleading career has fizzled!   :D

He didn't look nearly as cute as Bernie in his skirt and pompoms, either.

It needs to be done, so I find a way for it to get done. Now there are many much more interesting topics here than myself for folks to spend their eyeball time on. Thanks for the interest.

Dave is a true Santa. Yes, he has elves, but he is a true Santa. He and his elves are doing more to continue traditional archery than anyone I've heard of. I would be curius to know just how many bows he has put into the hands of kids. I know that Dave would never tell. He doesn't like to talk about what he is doing and doesn't want any credit, but I know that there are a lot of kids shooting trad because of Dave and his elves.
Merry Christmas Dave and to all Tradgangers!

toot, I don't know that you have or will get all of your questions answered.

I have only been on tradgang for a short time myself. In time you will notice many that give so much to the community of traditional. There are a lot of good people here.

I know you won't find the answers to your questions!  I haven't seen the "silver bullet", but have heard folks ask..."who was that masked man?"
So just go with it and enjoy!  If you ever have some archery "stuff" laying around.......maybe the "Masked Cheerleader"(  :scared:  ) can put it to good use!

I have never met Vermonster, but have observed his giving spirit in the postings I have read.  I get the feeling he is a humble man who does not want the spotlight.  Like when Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz was told: "Pay no attention to the man behund the curtain".  Thanks for all you do!
