Going Price for Osage Staves?
«

Can anyone tell me how much good quality osage staves typically sell for at some of the traditional archery shoots in the midwest? I have accumulated more than I will ever use, and would like to sell some of it, but don't want to mess with shipping, so I have been thinking about taking some to some of the shoot here around Ohio. Thanks.

Selling staves at shoots is an iffy proposition. I usually have some staves for sale at shoots. I sell a few occasionally and go home with all I bring most of the time.
I sell them for $30-$35. A few years ago there were more people attempting to make selfbows but the numbers have declined in the south east where I live.

Take them to shoots like Denton Hill and ATAR in West Virginia. I won't pay more then $50 for a prime stave and usually pay about $25. Bought quite a few at MoJam for $10 each.
