Look at the Gazeteer page 37    NW corner or Jefferson CTY is Waterloo.    Portland appears to be a couple miles NE of that, just into Dodge CTY.

Midway between Sun Prairie and Watertown.

Waterloo and Portland are next to each other.  You will be driving thru Waterloo to get to the Gun Club.  If anyone needs detailed directions, let me know where you will be coming from and I will get them to you.

I'm in!  Should be a good time.

frassetor, I think this evolved into a bunny hunt because it seemed December was not good for a lot of people.  But it was your initial idea that got the ball rolling.  Sure wish you could come on down, and sorry to hear you can't make it that day.

In the meantime, if the deer hunt idea is still a good one.  No reason those who are interested can't do both!

I agree, let me know if there's something in the works on a deer hunt!

Wish I could make it but I cannot. Just thought I would mention the WTA has a deer hunt every year...

I would love to come! But I will be in the Bahamas with my wife!

Maybe next time. I would like to meet a few other local TradGanger's.
Our local archery club has an annual bunny hunt every year, sometimes we get together a couple times, generally in Jan.& Feb.

Bringing this back up to the top.  I will be posting some links to the DNR's map website to give everyone an idea as to the size of the public grounds.  I will also be making a phone call and checking on some private land.

I think I should be able to make it. I think my wife is working that Saturday but I think I can squeeze this in before I've gotta watch the kids.

Is anyone bringing a dog ?

I have plans to be there, but lately I am afraid to commit to anything because of work.

I have a beagle I could bring.  She is a pet and not a wonder dog, but she just loves going out and trailing things.  Not sure how the snow depth is gonna be.
