Ferret's web pages
« on: December 13, 2008, 12:08:00 PM »
I've read that MSN is closing There Groups in February.

What's to become of Ferret's valuable instructional pages that I reference often?

thanks,

This was posted on his website

The MSN Groups service will close in February 2009. You can move your group to Multiply, MSN’s partner for online groups. Learn More

I suspect Ferret will make the move and we'll still be able to benefit from his expertise.

He is taking a break from all this posting.
Dang, if I did that, my house would be clean, the truck waxed, I'd have gotten a Ph.D. in something and become highly successful in my chosen career.

But I am hanging out with you guys instead.  :readit:

I was dating a girl that grew up in Cinci.. On one of those holiday trips that I was "expected" to come along on to Cinci I remembered that the Ferret was from the great state of Ohio. I thought I can get some good boyfriend points plus take my bows and shoot some stumps with the Ferret.. Does it get any better???  Long story short the Ferret lives almost 45 minutes from her parents and he as well had family commitments that weekend so the Ohio/Missouri stump shoot did not happen... Would have been big time fun.

Yes Killie, the trad gang would not be the same without you.

Going to ask a dumb computer question  :knothead:

If I save the Ferrets website to my favorites, will I loose it when the MSN group service closes??

I think I know the answer, just need it confirmed  :banghead:

Hope Mickey (Ferret) and Diane and the 'motorcycle gang' are all doing well.
Miss his pics and commentary.

Killie, if yer house were cleaner we'd be smudged with the loss!!
Besides who wants to 'practice' an art; when you can just shoot a few pieces of one??

Yes the page will be lost that way.

Since the tutorials are mostly pics anyway, they can be saved to your computer by placing the pointer over an image and then right click. An option box will appear. Left click on 'save picture as'. You can then arrange the pics of each tutorial in seperate files in your 'My Pictures' files and you will have them.

It's quite easy to do but it would take a while to save all his work.   :D

You could probably just convert the pages to PDF form and save them that way.

I miss the Ferret as well.  He put together lots of great tutorials it would be a shame if they were lost or unavailable.
