I like 4" 6 fletch (shooting 65lbs). Stay away from the left helical. I have had larger tips come unscrewed in flight because of the rotation of the arrow. Lefty loosy, go with right wing if you can, which means use a straight or right wing clamp.
I love the look of barred feathers but they are a pain in hunting situations. I have spent way more time looking for barred and I have chartruse barred ones. Shooting targets in an open field will be less of a concern, but even then, go solid color and bright. Out of the pink, light blue, orange, and chartruse/lime solid colors, go with chartruse. Hands down, they are always the easist to find.
I was concerned about the bright color when we duck hunt, but that didn't seem to deter them from landing where they should.
