Traditionally Decorated Tree.....Naturally
« on: December 22, 2008, 11:07:00 AM »
I took these pics a while back....and thought it time to share them.........

Well....can anyone guess what wood this is and will this naturally decorated Christmas tree make a bow?

Very interesting, a rare tree indeed. Wonder if the coloring is inside the trunk as well or just on the surface. Can't wait to hear what the bowyers have to say.

Looks like walnut to me. And yes, any tree will make a bow, of sorts.

Wow...very neat.  I too thought it was painted.  I live in Florida and have never seen one.

Way cool tree Terry.  Is it in your neck of the woods?  My guess would have been a hand-painted banyan tree, just by looking at the exposed roots.

Now that we know what it is, the question is, will it make a bow? I'm curious to know!

What kind of camo would you have to wear to blend in with that tree?  Tie Dyed maybe.  Chad
