Most gratefull Christmas Ever Pg 4
« on: December 24, 2008, 03:21:00 PM »
Well im usually pretty jolly around christmas, but this has been the worst christmas ever.  On htursday i threw my back otu at work, so thats been fun. Then i get home sunday night and realize my Antlers from my first tradtional bow deer kill are missing off my porch. Either stolen by a person or an animal. And then last night on the way home from work i wreck my jeep in to a bunch of little trees when i hit black ice and slid around an off ramp into them. This is OFFICIALLY The WORSE CHRISTMAS EVER!!! The only thing that could make it worse is if i got a dog for christmas and it died. I'm sorry if i brought any of you down. Try to have a better christmas than i am having. I really think im gonna cry about losing those antlers. It took me a season and a half to get my first trad deer kill and I was so happy it was a buck now all i have are a couple bad pictures and a blood stained arrow.  Have a Merry Christmas Yall. Maybe it will be a better new year.

Hey, Celt, Gotta look at this way, you have the memories of your hunt, your back will get better the jeep gets fixed. Seems lousy maybe right now, but you do have a job, still able to get up and take nourishment and there will surely be more chances to hunt. That all said I pray you don't get that dog for Christmas LOL. You have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year also. Sincerely Doug

Go down to your local homeless shelter and volunteer to serve dinners for Christmas day or to the children's ward at the hospital and do a Santa gig for them. You'll be amazed at how much better your Christmas will seem afterwards.

Merry Christmas

Keep your eyes open and your spirits up!
Maybe you'll see a stray dog carrying your antlers. You'll then be excited to get your antlers back and adopt a dog that finds sheds!!

Things will get better, Matt.  Our family lost our grandmother one Christmas eve, and an uncle Christmas day a few years back, so our holidays are often a little subdued.  Hey, just spend more time in the woods next fall replacing those antlers.  At least you still have the memory as well as some venison in the freezer.  Tastes better than antler any way!!!  Like Vermonster and John, I deliver holiday meals to the less fortunate and it does make me feel better and really appreciate how fortunate I am. Merry Christmas all!

Close Your eyes and remember that first trad kill, that is something that can't be taken away from you!! your back will heal but @%$& the jeep, the jeep, man that would hurt me as i'm a jeep lover too! but really what vermonster13 and mystickbow said, doing something like that would give a new look at life!  Merry Christmas and a better new year for you!!

I'm sorry for all that has happened to you, and hope things get better........but put it in perspective and try to think of the thousands of American soldiers that will not be home tonight and tomorrow, and those that will never return,  so that we are all able to say and do what we enjoy...........

(((Celtic))))

Sometimes all that your cyber-friends can offer you is great big cyber-hug.  I am sorry about the things that have happened, but I can assure you that just as today seems troubled, tomorrow can just as quickly seem triumphed.
Despite the challenges of this moment, remember that you are blessed and that the spirit of Christmas is waiting for you.

Wishing you peace and Gentle Winds...   :campfire:

Like Vermonster said, You don't have to look very far to find plenty of people who have it much worse than any of us. Be thankfull for the things you have... and man I hope you find those antlers.

Hey Celtic,
Brother, take it from someone who has a rough go this time of year.
In a large glass mix the following:
Ice
3 oz. vodka
3 oz. Kaluha
fill to brim with milk & stir
enjoy.
A couple of these seem to take the edge off.
Good Luck
