Sorry to read of your troubles, but may I remind you:

Just as in the buck you shot, a few minutes is all it takes to go from a feeling of depression, to on top of the world, and in a prayerful state of thanksgiving.

May it change quickly for you.

God Bless, David B.

I know how you are feeling my friend. We had a house fire 2 days before Christmas a few years ago. I thought all was lost and it was going to be the worst ever. It ended up being the best christmas Ive ever had. No gifts, no nothing, but family and friends. It showed us how much we had made christmas into a big commercial everything. Keep your head up and be proud. It will get better....Roy

Things will get better. Look around and count your blessings.

I'd trade anything for the empty seat here this Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas,
Kenny

When things seem to be going bad I stop and think about the WWII vets that fought in the Battle of The Bulge, freezeing their --- off and Germans trying to kill them.  How bout landing on Omaha Beach, the door of the landing craft drops open and away you go right into machine gun fire. Chin up, things will get better.

Mr. Knot,

Especially at Christmas, satan really gets his jollies making people miserable.  Surely, a misery takes your mind off The Reason For The Season.  Truly sorry about your Jeep....from a fellow Jeepster (1989 Cherokee--181,000 miles)

May God's blessings fill your home in the coming year!!!

I feel for you but I bet you will feal better in a few days.  Now you reminded me about my biggest bow shot buck that I boiled out and left the garage door open and the neighbors dog ate the nose off. I know it helps to let off some steam and you are not alone.

Sorry for your misfortune.  Things have a way of turning around.  You may be in for a run of good luck.  Try to remember the positives in your life, like family, and things might not seem so bad.  By the way, even without the antlers, congrats on a successful hunt.

Brother, you ain't alone! Sprained my knee when a dog, not mine, slammed into the side of my knee at the dog park. Medial Collateral ligament...not fun. Blew out a tooth day before yesterday...$600 dentist bill to repair...one of my trucks needed smog work to register...$600 bucks there...needs another $1200 bucks of work on it. Talking about budget cuts at work and my boss told me to find out where I stand on the seniority list vs. my hunting buddy (we were hired the same day and I'm the union rep)
The bright side...family, friends, Christmas cheer, and the cyber buddies at Trad Gang.   :campfire:  And I'm gonna go limp on a pig hunt Friday to get out and enjoy the outdoors.
"There's been bad times like this before."
Take care and have a Merry Christmas (I hear that's a politically incorrect to say that now)

If I was in your shoes, after reading this thread, I'd change the title of the thread to"Best Christmas Ever!"

Take all these words of wisdom and support into tomorrow and have a great day.

Merry Christmas!

Life is up down...you can't get too excited about the "up's", and you gotta stand toe to toe and trade punches with the downs. Never quit.

Somewhere, somebody has it worse. Merry Christmas.

Isn't it good to know you have over 16,000 friends? Remember, This life is just a little test for eternity. You will make it just fine, like tempering good steel, once through the fire you will be stronger.
God bless you and yours.
