New McCullough--Pics
« on: December 25, 2008, 07:35:00 PM »
I just got this new to me McCullough, my Christmas gift to myself, and I couldn't be happier with her. She is about eight years old, but Mint, never hunted. The finish is just beautiful! She is 62" and draws 56@28. Padauk riser with four lams of Hickory. The only owner did a great job putting on the skins, my first "Skinned" bow and I really like them. The connection hinge works like a charm. There is a "Raven" written by John, which I assume is the model, though I haven't found any info on it thru searches. I've only shot her a little, but she is a serious shooter. Fast, smooth, quiet, and shock-free. Now I know why there is such a long wait for a Griffen, and I reckon I better get my name on the list for one! This is one awesome bow!

The model is a Raven I believe.I read somewhere that it is the same as his Draco model. At any rate it sure is nice.

I'm not sure what the Take-Down system is called, it's the first like it I've seen. It's a type of hinge. The one piece fits into the other, then you rotate it till it's straight. It's very solid. The only drawback to it is it can't be kept in the bowsock in one piece between shooting sessions, but that's not a problem for me.
