Bear Montana shoots pretty good ...
« on: March 08, 2007, 03:41:00 PM »
Shot my Montana yesterday and forgot how much fun it can be to shoot.  Decided to reshape the grip a little and tried to put a leather wrap on the grip.  The wrap didn't turn out so well (guess I'll try again), but I reckon I'll leave the grip shape alone now.

Im thinking about getting a bear longbow one of these days. I think it would be a great starter before I commit and get a custom. But I said the same thing about my Kodiak Mag and Have yet to get a custom recurve. Despite what I hear I really like my Bear.
Is it deer season yet?

For 60 yards out I'd have to shoot from my neighbors yard.  Those were the first 2 at 25yds after working on the grip.  I stopped right there for the day ... reality can come crashing in tomorrow.
