Striker Stinger question

Hello all.
 Does anyone have any experience with these bows? I have one on order and can't decide on the bow length. Is there a huge difference between how the various bows (e.g. 56", 58", 60") perform in terms of smoothness of draw?
 Any input would be appreciated.

from what im learning the longer the smoother and faster

the shorter better for treestand hunting and out of blinds

short draws accept the shorter bows better

if you dont hunt out of blinds or treestands

most will recommend the longer length

I'm shooting one of Rick's Striker select 3 piece Take down Recurve. The bow is 60" and draws like butter, but the thing I have been most impressed with compared to other bows I've shot is the abscence of hand shock. These bows are dead in the hand.  As far as which length to go with I would trust Rick's opinion.  Joe

I have one of Ricks bows. Just got it back in the start of Oct. I have the stringer in 58". I tried all 3 sizes and really couldn't tell a huge difference but there is a difference. I really could make up my mind so I went with the 58 because it was in the middle. You can't go wrong with any of them IMO.

I did go with the upgrade of action bamboo and was really glad I did,,,man I LOVE the way it shoots. After I got it and got it set up I was shooting great out to 20 yards within 1 week.

I was a compound shooter before I got this bow(I started out shooting recurve as a kid)but found myself taking both bows every time I went hunting this year and seem to pull the stringer  out more than the compound.

I got so use to this bow so fast that I impressed myself.

I would suggest you think about how you will be hunting with this bow, treestand, blinds or just ground hunting. If you are going with treestands and ground blinds I would go with one of the shorter ones but thats not "mandatory". You can still do all the styles of hunting with the 60".

I have a 56 inch stinger, however I only have a 26 in. draw length. This is the best performing longbow that I have owned, as far as a great combination of speed and accuracy, the draw is smooth for its short length and it manuevers well in a tree stand!

Thank you for all the opinions. I draw 27ish and Rick suggested either a 56" 0r 58" but I prefer a smooth draw rather than performance. Perhaps the 58" will be the best bet.

Sorry elknut, I've been away.  My bow draws 53# @25" Bocote riser with red elm veneers over bamboo limbs.   I believe Rick's  personal bow is the same woods. Joe

Sweet bows. I tried a 56", but it just didn't feel right to me with my longer draw and non-perfect form. So Rick said send it back and he'd make me a new 60"! How's that for service? He'll have it done in a month or two.
He said a 58" would be fine for me, but I think I'm sold on a bit longer.
Overall, great bows, Very quick, very quite. Super service from Rick. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest Striker to anyone.

I have a 56" stinger that Rick made for my wife, it is as smooth and quiet as any bow I have shot.
