Wow, looks like we'll see a lot of new blood, I mean new bunny hunters this year......all you new guys disregard that "blood" statement.

Who's bringing the tape and gauze pads this year?

Jamie, post a pic. or two here as well. Give the new guys a taste of what we have!!! I forgot to mention, Damon(Nomad88) won the JLMBH traveling bow at the Raffle last year(an old Kodiak) it gets raffled off every year and the winner hunts with it until the next JLMBH and than it gets raffled off again. Damon managed to kill one today with that bow and i killed one with the RER raffle bunny bow I won last year, now that deserves a big->>>---------> OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Huntmaster Shawn and Terry with the first...after five miutes in the field.

Damon and Curt double on this one..

This is REALLY nice stuff to walk through. Trust me!

On another note, seriously consider "protective clothing"  :goldtooth:  . Brush pants, thick but light layers. I know some guys bring safety goggles and pruning shears.

Jamie is correct, you will need haevy cordura faced brush pants if ya do not want to look like a pin cushion. A small pair of pruners is nice so ya cut your way out, but also for retreiving a bunny from the nasty multi-flora rose, which by the way is why we have so many bunnies. Not many predators can get thru this stuff so the bunnies are safe. If you are not bloody after this hunt than ya did not do your job, I will say this, everyone today got down and got bloody. Great job today!! OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Shawn

Looks like a great day. I can't wait for this hunt!

On a side note, i don't know if anyone is interested but I talked with the guys at Flying Arrow Sports, they have 4 shops, one is in East Greenbush. Anyway, right now I got them to donate a few "Techno Hunts" for the raffle if I want. i'm seeing what else they will do for me. If you haven't done it it's pretty cool. You can shoot any animals you want from elephants to small game. I'm pretty sure they will donate some stuff as well. I jsut talked to the owner quick yesterday.

I have a few pretty nice things I'll be bringing as well.

The kind of arrow head you use for bunnies in the thick thorn brush is important. "Judos" work well for stumpin' but may get caught on a twig before gettin' to your rabbit. Broadheads WILL NOT be used on this hunt! Got That?

Soooooo.... I'm gonna bring some Martin Skipper Stoppers for the raffle table. They are 125gr. screw-ins. They have two nasty points  :scared:   and are perfect for bunnies in the brush. I can't do pictures so go to the Martin site. They show a four point, but the raffle ones are "two long sharp points".
